The Power of Gratitude

The Power of Gratitude

One of the most important ways to achieve all of your health and fitness goals is to have a healthy mindset. Believing that you are successful before you begin working towards your goals is a step in the right direction.

Simply being grateful for what you have already is a major key to sustained happiness.

“Appreciating the things you have in life can help you to refocus any negative energy toward positive feelings and thoughts. If you are down on yourself or life in general, think about the things that make you happy. Anything that makes you happy! Feelings of gratitude help to reinforce positive, happy thoughts towards life”.

This year has been an adventure for me. I have had many ups and downs but overall I am grateful for everything that has happened to me.

Each day I try to incorporate thoughts of gratitude into my life to stay positive and balanced.

I have been keeping a journal of all the things that make me happy. I make it a point to write down at least three things that I am grateful for each day.

This exercise has been proven to significantly make people happier in their lives. Many studies go as far as indicating that this is the single fastest, most effective exercise to increase the happiness level of an individual. -Modern Age Warriors

I also send out messages to my friends and family of how much I appreciate them. To have people in our lives that support us is a huge gift. One should never take this for granted.

Sometimes I am hard on myself and think that I am not doing enough. This is when I have to remind myself of what I do have and focus hard on gratitude.

Each day of life is something to be grateful for. Take time to appreciate it all.

“True happiness is to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence on the future, not to amuse ourselves with either hopes or fear but to rest satisfied with what we have, which is sufficient, for he that is so wants nothing. The greatest blessings of mankind are within us and within our reach. A wise man is content with his lot, whatever it may be, without wishing for what he has not.” -Lucius Annaeus Seneca

What are you grateful? How have you incorporated gratitude into your daily life?
